Welcome to the Fruitport Fire Department website. Fruitport Fire Department serves an area of 52 square miles with a population of 21,000. We are located in western Michigan along the shore of Lake Michigan. The community is made up of a large retail commercial district, residential, and some rural setting. Fruitport Township is experiencing unprecedented growth. This web site will demonstrate that Fruitport Fire Department is involved in and well prepared for the growth of the community.

In our Fire Prevention section, you will be able to contact one of our fire inspectors with any questions you may have as well as set up a free home fire safety visit. We can also assist you in proper location of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, emergency escape ladders, or help set up a home fire escape route with you and your family. Our department also offers a residential lock box program for senior citizens and other residents of Fruitport & Sullivan Townships.
